As many here I initially though it was a joke... really, I was expecting a 'nah, I was kidding' reading though the article... but it worked! I had an old trusty late 2008 MBP 15 (first unibody series): it worked great for many years but a few months ago suddenly stopped booting up at all; after investigating the issue for many hours and trying any possible solution I'd given up on it until I found this guide and thought 'what do I have to loose?' well, look for yourself... booted up at first try! P.S.: a little extra tip - you can use the longer screws of the back chassis to safely sustain the logic board in the oven
