Hello All,
I work for a school district that has the NEC 2000 IPS installed. Since I do Admin/PC Support, I figured the phone system would be nice to learn, too! I use MatWorx 7 to access the PBX to do 'litle' things like change names on the extensions of new staff or staff that have changed classrooms and ensure the date and time are correct. Yeah, I know, you phone tech's are probably ROFL right now, but hey...Im just learning. My employer will most likely not pay for me to take a NEC Admin class, so let's not even go there.
Here's my question/problem:
The Guidance Dept. would like the counselor(s) phone to ring if a call comes in from the outside. Here's what is happening...call from outside hits the main number, caller can press option 5, use the first three letters of the counselor(s) last name to get connected to the counselor(s) office, call is sent directly to VM, counselor(s) phone doesn't ring.
The VoIP phones we have installed are the NEC IP(16D2).
Like I said, this is new to me so some 'virtual' handholding may be needed!
